To all you safety knowledgeable peers,
We are trying to do a comparison between UL498 and EN60950-1 on an appliance inlet, no fuses. Can anyone get the ball rolling for us by relating if they are equivalent, or if one is more stringent? Since they are not harmonized, my first guess is that they have some non reconcilable differences. The bottom line may be, can we use a UL498 recognized part to meet the requirements of EN60950-1 2nd ed.? Thank you for any input.
