When you see one of these EU Directives, Council Decisions or Implementation Measures, the first thing to do is a Google (or whatever) search for it, download it and read it. I found it at: http://www.ebpg.bam.de/de/index.htm It helps if you understand German, but 'Search' is 'Suche', and if you click on that and just enter '640/2009' it finds the English version of the IM. I feel sure that somewhere there is a Polish version. In this case, 640/2009, 'motor' has a very special meaning. From Article 2, Definitions: 1. ‘Motor’ means an electric single speed, three-phase 50 Hz or 50/60 Hz, squirrel cage induction motor that: — has 2 to 6 poles, — has a rated voltage of U N up to 1 000 V, — has a rated output P N between 0,75 kW and 375 kW, — is rated on the basis of continuous duty operation. -- OOO - Own Opinions Only.
