For a given obiter gloss of 'cubic'. The importance of this block is 
that it helps people who use Imperial measures a concept of a metric 
measure. This 'cubic litre' is a 4-inch cube.

Another help is that the mile and associated measures is based on a unit 
(rod, pole or perch) of 5.5 yards, which is 5 metres. From this you can 
even get to 1 acre = 0.4 hectares by simple arithmetic.
