Ford and GM have published EMC standards, as have most of the European
auto mfrs.

Do not forget CISPR 12.

An overview is at <www.autoemc.net/Standards/StandardsMain.htm>

If this is your first time with an automotive ESA - find a COMPETENT lab,
do not try to understand this somewhat random mix of EMC requirements
alone.

I just did an 'ESA' project, and it was serendipitous and ambiguous.

Subject: Automobile EMC/EMI standards

Dear colleagues,

I'm looking for some help in finding EMC/EMI
standards/references/requirements for aftermarket Electronic Subassemblies
installed in automobiles. I'm aware of the SAE standards, and the IEC
CISPR 25, ISO 7637, ISO 10605 and ISO 11452. Are there additional EMC/EMI
standards I should be aware of, from those listed above?

Thanks

Ron Baugh
