The info I have gotten from UL is that they are totally UNrelated.

 

I think I remember that UL 2043 is commonly called the Steiner tunnel test,
and it is a bulk materials test, down something like a 24 foot chamber. UL 94
is a small sample test.

 

It has generally been difficult for us to find materials that we have any
confidence of meeting UL 2043.

Hi,

 

Does anyone know if there is any relationship between standard UL 94 plastics
flammability standard and UL 2043 Standard for Fire test Heat and visible
smoke release for products installed in air handling spaces. In other words if
the product uses UL 94 V0 plastic will this be good enough to comply with UL
2043?
