Ted, By CB license I assume you mean CB certificate. CB certificates are generally not required for components used for "building in". I have seen many IT products achieve CB certification using AC filters which do not have a CB certificate. Indeed I was not aware, and do not believe, it is possible to obtain a CB certificate for such a component. Regards, Craig

Hi, I'm in the process of renewing a CB License for an ITE Terminal and in the final review by the UL International Certification office additional information was require. The information requested was CB licensing for certain components. My problem is the manufacturer's of the components don't have CB licenses. For example one component was a standard AC input filter by a known company which on has UL, cUL and VDE approvals. Is there a way passed the rules interpretation of requiring a CB License for this component?
