I hope not! We use it!

Subject: Ribbon Cable Question

Quick question; has there been any recent issues or new restrictions regarding
the use of Ribbon Cable internal to equipment? There is a rumor spreading
throughout our R&D group that we can no longer use ribbon cable. I have not
heard anything official and assume as long as you use it in applications where
your fault current cannot exceed the current rating it should be fine to use
(keeping in mind any derating due to total current and adjacent conductors,
etc... Has anyone else heard of such a rumor? Is there any truth to this or new
concerns?

Thanks.
The Other Brian
