UL508 and UL508A are not safety standards for enclosures. For NEC and ANSI, there is no single standard for enclosure construction, other than for IP stuff. Note UL1773, UL2017, UL60950, etc. That is, requirements for enclosure will part of the end-use safety standard, or an additional safety standard will be referenced. If you are looking for something that can be in a declaration - stop and think about what the directives scope and directives' requirements for D of C. In the USA these would be covered by UL 508 or UL 508A. In Europe I am not sure if I should be looking at the LVD. Maybe the Construction Products Directive makes more sense since the empty box is not covered by the LVD until breakers or other devices are installed? I have looked through the harmonized standards in the LVD and nothing looked obvious to me. Any pointers?
