It is in-between the CDMA and GSM uplink (824-849) and downlink (869-894)
frequencies, but perhaps there are other services in that 850-869 mhz space?

This eye chart (
http://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/OPP/working_papers/oppwp38chart.pdf )
suggests there may be some private commercial radio there.
