Hello, Experts, I was just working on an internal RoHS guidance document and was struck by an idea out of the blue that might make a good topic for EMC-PTSC Friday discussion....
Wouldn't an analog compass be considered in scope of RoHS? It seems to meet the EEE definition as it is dependent on the earth's magnetic field to work properly. Or, is there a distinction between a *magnetic* field and an *electromagnetic field* that can be made to save scouting equipment suppliers from this inconvenience?
