I have a situation where I am trying to determine what is the necessary level of product testing/certification is necessary for a product.
We have a 2HP electric motor, listed by the manufacture for sale in US and Canada. This motor is directly connected to an air pump. The pump slides over the motor output shaft with the pump housing and motor bolted together. The motor is 3 phase, if a cord and cap power cord is supplied what are the requirements? If it is not shipped with a power cord, the responsibility of power connection is the customers, what are the requirements? I look forward to your guidance. Best Regards, W.
