This has all the hallmarks of irrationality. It starts with "it's killing us" and "it's getting worse," then moves on through "save the children" to conspiracy theories and suppression of evidence. While some of their points (prudent avoidance) are valid, I don't agree with any call for "strong action."
BTW, have you ever met any of the petition signatories? Personally, they lost me when they started the petition by addressing the UN Secretary as "His Excellency."
