Keysight nee Agilent nee HP is recommending the N9000ACXA for pre-comp; and have seen on ebay for under $14k USD. Am an EMC amateur, and do very little pure EMC work, but prefer the HP firmware (for quick/easy programmability in C or Python), but the RS stuff seems to be better hardware. GPIB is typically cost-extra for RS, more common on HP stuff. Prefer GPIB for controlling an instrument stack, but for one or two boxes, TCP or USB seems to becoming de facto standard and offers muy rapido code development when compared to GPIB. Do not ask me about LabView - no like.
