True, and seems to be a recurring problem with the coverage of software "engineering". While am a reasonably competent code monkey, and do a passable job at compliance and other stuff, have never had the luxury of time or environment that would allow an assumption of depth and expertise in any specialty. Which is why, as common engineering practioners, we grovel and beg our employers for the time and money to attend these august gatherings.
