Hello Anyone with Knowledge of the continental EU & UK Electrical Code(s),
We have a mounted mobile caravan/marine product that produces an output via:
Option a) Schuko outlet of 230V~, 50Hz; or
Option b) UK outlet of 230V~, 50Hz.
The questions are:
* Do we require a series connected RCBO (residual current
detector/circuit-breaker with output protection) prior to the outlet, contained
within the device or not?
* If not required, do we need to require it as a condition of connection
later during installation either downstream or upstream?
* If required, what RCBO rated values are required?
* Currently the understanding is for the Schuko outlet 250V~, 16Amax
rating and for the UK outlet 250V~, 13Amax rating and have an RCBO matching
those ratings with a 10mA differential trip-current rating.
* If required, what Type is required? (i.e. Type B or Type A or ?)
Thanks for your consideration.
Kind Regards,
Dean Jurgensen
