I invite readers of this list to provide definitions of the words: basic: supplementary: safeguard: parameter: Once these are defined, provide definitions of the phrases: basic safeguard parameter: supplementary safeguard parameter: No right or wrong. These terms are used in 62368-1 and 62368-2, but seem not defined or not well-defined. I am trying to determine whether the words and phrases have a common meaning among standards users and product safety practitioners. Maybe the standards need a better and more complete set of defined terms.
