Hi, I'm new to the list and have been I've been working with EMC
version 2.0.4 and noticed a possible bug with the backlash compensation
when jogging in manual mode. I first select a jog increment, say .010
and jog in one direction noting the movement on a dial indicator. When
I reverse directions by one click(.010 increment), the backlash is not
taken up. Only when I jog at least one more increment does the backlash
compensation take affect. It is like the compensation is delayed and
catches up on the next move. The Backlash Comp does work properly in
MDI mode. I have not yet checked it but assume it should work in Auto
mode as well.
I'm using the default stepper_inch.ini config, with only
modifications to the motor parameters. Is there a setting somewhere I
am missing. I worked with the old emc1 back in 1999 and the backlash
comp seemed to work fine in all modes.

Thanks,
Preston
