Why don't *you* direct your energy in making EMC more user friendly instead?

Jon has a point. Keep in mind that many of the developers who are
getting these boards are doing so because they want to mess around with
custom FPGA configurations and other long term projects.
YEESH! (Makes frowny face not fit to be seen by minors.) I don't
wish this on anyone. Especially Xilinx software. You need to be
a guru to understand the cryptic error messages, and all the things
that go wrong with NO error message.
I'm an electrical engineer, and I want to learn VHDL. I's sure there
will be rough spots, but I'm also sure I'll manage just fine. As will
Jeff and the others who intend to do custom FPGA work.
Anyway, using the 5i20 just hasn't been tried yet, so there's no way
to know if there would be any difficulty, or it would just turn on
and run immediately.
Your bias is showing Jon.
The m5i210 has been used before to run machines. Like any analog
servo system, you need to know how to tune the PID loops, but it
can and has been done.
You are welcome to promote your products, but don't badmouth others
unless you are sure of your facts.

John Kasunich
