Gentlemen,
My definition of running is everything complete and turned over to
the shop. I have run the EMC2 AXIS program and used a grease pencil on
the quill to draw it on a piece of aluminum. I watched the machine
retrace this for more than an hour. It was so nice to see the machine
move on its own. Then I played with it using the handwheel.
I have some io's to finish wiring, the operator control panel to
install and some final axis tuning to do. I will try to get you the
information tomorrow. I will be at the shop early but will be busy all
day with a visitor and will not be able to spend much time on this
project. As of now I don't know what the maximum rapid/feed rate is. I
will know more when I get the axes tuned. I believe this machine had
rapid rates of around 100 ipm with the original control.
When I get this completed I will send pictures and video of this
machine cutting chips.
thanks
Stuart
