Help, please...

Using Mozilla Firefox under Windows XP SP2, I've downloaded the file located at
http://linuxcnc.org/iso/emc2-ubuntu6.06-desktop-i386.iso twice and gotten the
same md5 checksum both times: cygwin's and Fourmilab's md5 both report it as

cad662d048b2cf697a0d62cd0fedbb56 ,

which is not the value that http://www.linuxcnc.org/content/view/21/4/lang,en/
says it should be, that being

2b99a5eb6b38d6bebcc1fa1b37ba7075 .

I guess that the published md5 might be for the finalized CD, and not the .iso
file; so I go ahead and try to burn the image anyway.

Windows BurnCDCC refuses to burn the image(s), reporting that the size of the
ISO file is not valid.

Windows Sonic RecordNow! 7 burns the disc, but near the end of the burn it
reports "This disc is incompatible with the source disc." "Advanced" details are
as follows:

Sense: 03 ASC: 10 ASCQ: 00 (Command 00)
-------------------------------------------------------
Px.dll: 2.0.50.500
pxdrv.dll: 1.1.20.65511
PxMas.dll: 2.0.50.500
pxsfs.dll: 2.0.50.500
PxWave.dll: 2.0.50.500
PXWMA.dll: 1.0.0.3

When I try to boot using the resulting disc and check its integrity, it hangs
while trying to mount the CD's filesystem.

Now, what's really strange is that I can use Sonic RecordNow! 7 to burn the
LiveCD distro of Ubuntu 7.04, both Desktop and Alternate and they work fine!

When is the last time anyone confirmed that the EMC2 LiveCD iso was working
correctly with Windows CD burners?

Sorry, I'm an EMC newbie but I have burned many Linux distro CDs over the past
few years and this is the strangest experience I've had in some time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
