Thanks for the reply, that got rid of the error but it still doesn't 
appear to be threading correctly.  I dry ran the G76 example code and it 
cut "threads" at one constant Z speed no mater the spindle speed.  I 
stopped the spindle and it still cut threads at the same speed.  I'm 
wondering if something is wrong? :-)  I guess this is why the other 
index connections were commented out?  Is there a work around for this? 
If nothing else, I thought perhaps the index could be wired to a general 
purpose input.  Has anyone tried a spindle encoder with the m5i20 board?
