Many VFDs have an option for a jog button. You could set up
another digital output to command the VFD to jog, with the jog
setting in the VFD set slow enough that stopping at the orient
point is close enough. It depends on how fine the position
needs to be for your tool changer.

A single sensor could be arranged through HAL to stop the jog
when the sensor is reached. If the motor has to hold the orient
position against forces during toolchange, then you have a more
serious problem, and a simple VFD will not do the job.
