One mode of operation that is possible with all my controller
boards is to move the machine manually while in E-stop, in which
case EMC becomes a glorified DRO. Being able to set the
coordinate offsets (touch-off) would be a useful thing. To have
the maximum capability there, you'd want G53-G59.3, G10 L2 Px,
G92 and probably tool length offsets as well, for all the
possible kinds of workpiece alignment one might want to do.

If you have M-code controlled clamps for manual workpiece
changes, then being able to control them might make a lot of
sense. I'm not sure what industry practice is on things like
this, whether clamps should work independant of E-stop. My
boards are set up so all solid state relays are turned off in
hardware by E-stop, so the point is moot for them.
