Parport driver pin numbers correspond directly to the physical pin 
numbers on the standard PC parallel port - a 25 pin D-shell connector.

The "data port" is pins 02 through 09.  The control and status signals
are scattered around.  You don't really need to care about that stuff
though - just connect to the pins as numbered.
