to Brian McMillin: I cant advise about wifi with cnc ( imo wifi is not suited to machine shop use )
but i also got the $199 gOS machine from walmart at first i ran some tests for debugging 'unexpected realtime errors' but later stopped those tests because i had never gotten such an error and just ran emc2.2 for over 2 days without any errors the tests were running a latency report and loading the system with lots of apps and gltext etc.. ( i ran the latency report scribus, gimp, ffox, but NOT emc2) those tests would blow up, the system would actually reboot but the logs had no information about what went wrong so i guessed... maybe rtai isnt a problem, maybe the test is ( with this machine ) so i ran emc2 servo sim for 2 days, endlessly running the penguin and other .ngc, never had an error this may be of use to someone regards tomp ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
