Just now got counterbore.py again.
Lights out seems to be an open invite to lose it somewhere & carve another deep notch in the end of the workpiece. Twon't hurt this pieces function, but sure looks fugly. I have got to order some bearing bosses for the xy tables and cut some recesses in them for radial thrust bearings. They are swimming in oil, and squawling like they are dry, then the x motor stalls and all hell breaks loose. I left it running when I came in, but slowed down to about 6 ipm where the motor has enough power to turn the house around. Cutting alu, spindle about 400 rpm so its not throwing the chips clear. They make an excellent lubricant slurry when soaked with cutting oil and the finish is beautiful. Way smoother than if I was running dry with an air jet to blow the chips away. The air jet just accelerates the wear on the bits too as it encourages the alu to oxidize that much faster. Thanks John.
