The Mazak at the CNC workshop as a Motenc card as its primary servo card, and an AX5214H 48 channel I/O card for toolchanger stuff. The AX5214 is an ISA card, but there are probably PCI versions available. EMC2 allows you to mix and match any combination of I/O devices, so you don't have to use expensive servo cards if all you need is digital I/O. Regards, John Kasunich If I remember we also used a parport breakout board from PMDX for it's charge pump and to watch the handwheel. Seems like there were a couple other things we did with that. John is absolutely right about the ability of HAL to ignore the source of a signal once it's read. Guess he ought to be, he designed it that way. Thanks for all the good work, John.
