It looks like the Supra kit has a motion controller as part of the kit.
The PC you add to complete the kit is for the Supra user interface
software to tell the controller what to do. EMC2 is a motion controller
that comes with its own front-ends, so you would need to bypass the
Supra controller and connect to the Supra stepper driver inputs. Unless
you completely copy one of the EMC examples, you will need to customize
your configuration file. I think EMC makes it easy and is the best part
of EMC.
