Ah those are ladder logic parameters and are intended to tune the real time portion of ladder for best read and write and minimum memory demands. They have nothing to do with the proper operation of the motenc lite board.
As for the line issue in gedit (the default editor) I pasted an image http://imagebin.ca/view/PL3htwtp.html that shows the way that I like to run that editor. The "Highlight current line will help you see those lines that are longer than a single displayed length. I've been working with nixs for more than ten years and understand the difference between a "line" in these os's and that other os. We simply word wrap and put the end of line where it really needs to be. There is no real reason why we should expect a MS user to understand that lines in Linux really are more than they are in some of those other editors and word processors. A line here is a logical unit a "thought" or "command" if you will that may be much longer than a text widget allows you to display on one of it's lines.
