Wow. As Rosanne Rosannadanna would say, "it's always something!"

I hope someone holding write-permission to the wiki.linuxcnc.org page on 
Hardware Requirements will add this information even though it will 
become obsolete as soon as the next release of RTAI is built into the 
EMC2 distribution. Judging by the messages I've seen on this list, a 
number of new users expect to use their EMC2 computer for other purposes 
as well and I'll bet they all figure that adding more RAM will make it 
run better. I certainly wouldn't have thought twice about exceeding 1GB 
and a few little VIA motherboards are the only MBs I've purchased in 
years that physically limit me to 1GB.
