Hi
I am still having trouble configuring a stepper machine with MSD542 aka KL-5042 
micro stepper drivers.  I am getting 
far better results when configured with MACH 3 and can only think that it is 
the way it configures the drivers.  

In the data sheet it reads.. 

'For reliable response, pulse width should be longer than 2.5us.  and  For 
reliable motion response, DIR signal 
should be ahead of PUL signal by 5us at least'

How can I set up EMC with these values? I very much want to use open source 
software as much as possible, so if any 
one is using these drivers I would very much like to hear from them.
