This may be a typo!  A general scheme might be to increase P 
until oscillation, then increase ** D **, not I.  I don't think 
I will have any effect to reduce oscillation, but in some 
circumstances, D may help.  It depends on the nature of the

Yes, they probably have a complete PID loop in the drive 
already.  In this case, you may get better results with a lower 
P, and zero I and D, if the drive is performing a tight control 
of the motor.  What following error are you getting in your 
tests?  Are you using Halscope when tuning?

I think G64.1 requires a P word to set the following tolerance.
So, you would code G61.1 P0.005 or something like that.
