What happens if you try to run in live mode from the same CD? That 
should give you an idea if the CD was burned OK. Besides, CD burning 
utility has md5sum capability to verify the CD after the burning. But 
Kirk told you that already.

If the PC is not running from the CD and you know that burning was good, 
there might be an issue with drivers.

You don't tell us where the installation stopped and that's important to 
know if you have a driver issue or something else.

Again, check md5sum from the web (I assume here that this is available) 
to see if it matches your downloaded file.
