I'm sure that the 8.04 CD has 2.2.5 on it.  The 6.06 CD may have 2.2.2

Actually, I was pointing out that the sense of the number is inverted.  
For inch screws, the pitch is usually given as a TPI number (turns per 
inch).  For metric screws, the number is usually mm/rev.  One is 
distance/revs, the other is revs/distance.

If you configure no home switches (or maybe it's zero home velocity), 
then homing causes the current point to be defined as home.  It 
basically skips the search and says "I'm home" wherever the machine is.  
It's actually this case of no home switches where you may need to set 
limits higher - since you can tell the machine that home is anywhere, 
you need soft limits that allow full travel in either direction from 
home.  That will allow you to use the full work envelope of the machine 
regardless of where you home, but it will also allow you to crash into 
the end stops at will.
