I agree with you, the Mach docs are lacking, but I believe that is about to be sorted. There are new docs being proof read at the moment. The big problem is the docs never keep up with the changes! Personally I don't find Mach easy to navigate, it's far too cluttered, and it is intimidating for a new user.
