Never imagine, it's always a disappointment when things don't work out

I agree with you, the Mach docs are lacking, but I believe that is about
to be sorted. There are new docs being proof read at the moment.
The big problem is the docs never keep up with the changes!

Personally I don't find Mach easy to navigate, it's far too cluttered,
and it is intimidating for a new user.  

Having said that, I've just read some good OEM setup docs for Mach, they
were given to a complete CNC novice, in less than half a day, he'd
configured his PC and machine, and cut a complex part.

It is a dying art, and all the more reason that EMC needs to evolve!
