Been lurking here a long time and have said little being a novice to all
things machining. Having said that, I have the HobbyCNC board as well and
the default settings appear to need tweaking for this board. I found that I
would always miss steps on rapid moves on all axes. My router plowed
through several pieces as a result of this.
Unfortunately, I have the unit torn down right now for a shop rework. Once
that is done, I intend to get this running properly and work through the
problem and not simply avoid rapids (I would edit all G0 moves to a G1). I
will report any successes/problems I have.
