Good luck tomorrow - my 2 cents if it helps -
2) Remember the home value is signed (+/-) so change the value to search for
home in the other direction.
3) A joint is an axis - joint 0 is the first one defined in the ini file, etc.
so if homing failed on joint 1, then it failed on the second joint identified
in your .ini file. As to why it fails when it hits the switch, open up the
halscope and make sure your looking for the right value on the switch first and
going in the right direction. Are you sharing the home switch as a limit and
if so is EMC aware of that (IIRC HomeIsShared = 1 or something like that -
check the docs)

Subject: Re: [Emc-users] Spindle Speed
Many thanks to all who helped me both on here and on IRC tonight.
I now have the spindle speed reported correctly in my widgets!
I can control the spindle from standstill to max speed using the manual
page, although it is a bit laborious!
Jobs for tomorrow...
1) Work out how to tell EMC to run the spindle at X speed when I do an S
command... e.g. S500 = 500 rpm.
2)Try and get the homing of the axis working properly, it currently homes in
the wrong direction on X (My lathe is a slant-bed)
3)Work out why a home command fails on a "joint" during the homing command
when it hits the switch. (probably need to work out what a joint is first!)
Thanks
Simon
