I am a newbe, but I have lurked for years. I am running an up to date
Ubuntu 8.04. I had an old version
of EMC2 installed, but it never ran and I never got around to
debugging it. I saw that there was an EMC2
which was supposed to work with this version of Ubuntu 8.04 so I did
a remove complete on the EMC2
and downloaded the Hardy EMC2 install script & ran it. Didn't see any
glaring errors. Tried to run sim axis
and it errored out.

=============================================

It seems the install script installed rtai for version 2.6.24-16,
but the sim axis script wants rtai version 2.6.24-19.

Any ideas of what happened??

when I did the remove of EMC2 I seem to remember it removing modules for
rtai for version 2.6.24-16, And the install seems to have put them back.

Any help on what to try next would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
