I think this is probably good advice for right now, unfortunately.
Stepconf simply won't listen to you if you ask for "really long" step
pulses, and unfortunately it's not simple to fix; I don't feel
comfortable with making that degree of change in a "stable release".

So it looks like the thing to do is remove the sherline timing line
entirely from the stepconf wizard and note it in the documentation.

We would be interested in adding your sherline configuration to a future
release of emc as well.  can you send it to me directly as a zip file
for inclusion?
