Hi All For the last few years I have been running turbocnc and a taig mill. I decided to go with emc2 rather than a windows based machine since linux is probably a better fit for the rest of my home network which is all mac osx based.
Now I need some advice regarding hardware. I just bought 10 off GIGABYTE GA-PCV2 Mini ITX MBoard C/w 800MHZ VIA CPU for $150AUD ( a little over $10 US each). I want to know if these are going to be adequate to run emc2 ? (I will be driving 4 stepper motors with either a xylotex or hobbycnc board (I have both of these already)). I also understand the 800mhz via C3 processor reports as a i686 processor but does not support the CMOV instruction leading to major problems. Is this likely to be a problem ? Thanks for any help in advance. Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
