Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the polariscope info. I will give it a try.

As for the lightening cavities in the triple tree, I am eliminating them
altogether. The weight savings is not as important as the safety factor. 
I already made some lightened clamps for my customer, and he will have a 
chance to test them for a while, in the meantime we will stick with the 
heavy solid version.
