The Hurco KM3/KM3P machines were very nice iron to work with. The
Randtronics or CMC Servomate amps are very smooth allowing a feed of
0.1 IPM with the OEM Hurco control which was a 8086/8087 based system.
The amps will drive the OEM servos at 250IPM rapids even though the
servos them selves are good for 400IPM. Hurco choose to install servo
power supplies of a lower voltage than the servos peak power.

I agree the Mesa 5i20 + 7i33 comb is your best bet.

You will have fun coming up with a way to control the motor which
adjusts the varidrive speed.

Anyway for some details on the Hurco amps read this PDF.

www.skullworks.net/include/Servomate-AO-73187.pdf

Its kinda messed up, scans of hand drawn notes, A sized typed pages and
D size print and diagrams. That is why the sizes may seem off.

BTW - I'm hoping to do a KM3 conversion myself, if I can talk the owner
out of it.
