Robert, Are you using the SMP packages that were recently posted to 'experimental'? If so, it sounds like you missed installing one of the packages. Rtai_math.ko is in the package 'rtai-modules-2.6.24-16-rtaismp_3.6.1-linuxcnc.4_i386.deb'.
Also note, 'experimental' means just that. There are known problems with that build, including issues with networking and freeze-up / kernel panic after shutdown, or upon restarting.
