This is a tough year for shows. Roland really wanted to
have the CNC Workshop in spite of his difficulties. He
finally had to accept the harsh reality that it was too
much to accomplish given the combination of his health
and moving out of his old company digs.

The Mach 3 Convention planned for April has also been
cancelled due to unexpected changes in the sponsor's
Army Guard obligations and the uncertainty of being
able to reschedule the facility at this late date.

I will be a NAMES and would certainly be able to attend
an EMC Fest immediately afterward in Ann Arbor. Going
to Stuart's would be neat, but I will have to think about
the long trip with no tie in to a commercial show. Late
June or even July would work best for me.

It is beginning to look like Village Press/Digital Machinist
magazine is going to pick up the torch for a CNC Workshop
in 2010. They are based in Traverse City, MI so I would
guess they would plan on Michigan or similar for the
show. NOW is the time to make them aware of the
unique needs of the EMC fest so that they can evaluate
the possibilities should we try to work with them.

Regards,
Steve Stallings
