I use my lathe quite a lot as a semi-manual machine using two large MPGs. The lathe has a quick change tool post. I would like to have a row of 8 buttons with LEDs for my most commonly used tools. Each button selects the tool and applies it's offsets. Put the tool in the post, press the button and away you go. The LEDs show the currently selected tool.
Is this possible? I assume I would have to write a custom hal module but that shouldn't be an issue.
