I have looked at Nook.  Prices seem ok, but again if I was to drop the card 
for that much, I'd up the sizes and put in all in an X3.  This one just 
doesn't have the spindle cajones to do what I want to do at a reasonable feed 
rate, nor the post rigidity to do a good clean cut.  And I have done the end 
machining of the acme's I'm using, so that isn't a huge problem although that 
lathes precision leaves a lot to be desired.  I need to take the saddle off 
again and see if I can actually make it set level and solid on the ways, and 
quit fooling with that QC tool post, that thing would only need another 5 
minutes in boiling water to be fully cooked spaghetti.  I need a steel one, 
toolholders and all.  Nobody makes one that I've found.
