this example is from here http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Screw_Compensation
and includes my comments - compare the file use this COMP_FILE_TYPE = 0 nominal forward reverse - nominal is the uncompensated commanded position - forward is the axis position needed to achieve the nominal position in the positive direction - reverse is the axis position needed to achieve the nominal position in the negative directionor this COMP_FILE_TYPE = 1 nominal forward trim reverse trim - nominal is the uncompensated commanded position - forward trim is the amount of compensation needed to achieve the nominal commanded position in the positive direction - reverse trim is the amount of compensation needed to achieve the nominal commanded position in the negative direction The file format is: number space number space number n.nnnnnn n.nnnnnn n.nnnnnn Some example numbers: 0.000000 0.000000 -0.001279 0.100000 0.098742 0.051632 0.200000 0.171529 0.194216 You can name the file anything you like xscrew.comp - if you name the X compensation file xscrew.comp then you need to put COMP_FILE = xscrew.comp in the [AXIS_0] section of the ini file - given the X axis is the first axis yscrew.comp zscrew.comp Place this in each AXIS section you have a comp table for. COMP_FILE = file.extension example files are here http://www.mpm1.com:8080/cinci look at the cinci.ini and the Xaxis.cmp files On Thu, Dec 17, 2009 at 11:33 PM, joshua wojnas <[email protected]> wrote: > Is their better step by step instructions for calibrating the lead > screws & using encoders with cheap lead screws? Money and goods are clearly not the same things, but are exactly opposite things. Goods are wealth which you have, while money is a claim on wealth which you do not have. Goods are an asset; Money is a debt. If goods are wealth; money is clearly not wealth, it is negative wealth, maybe even anti-wealth. – Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, pg. 44 (emphasis added) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
