This is a deliberate incompatibility with emc 2.3. In 2.3.x, G43.1 K- indicated a Z offset for most machines, but it could indicate an offset of the W axis for machines which were configured for TLO_IS_ALONG_W. We don't have this flag anymore, so we can't tell what axis to apply the K value of G43.1 to.
