I recall a suggestion of using a Hilbert curve as the raster on a scanning electron microscope, as it would give equal contrast in both directions. (this was back before image storage was usual). I suspect it might also be usable for probing, but I am not sure that it has any advantages over a simple raster of the same resolution. -- atp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
