I made this inexpensive 100 cpr MPG:

This is just a proof of concept, but works very well. It just needs a
detent feature and formal enclosure.

The sensors are:

I chose these because they have a very small sensor window.

One advantage of inexpensive MPG's is that you can use more than one (X,
Y, Z or more axes, overrides, etcetera) with out breaking the bank.
